About Me

Albert D McCallum
Albert McCallum grew up in the farming country of Western Michigan where he graduated from Sparta High School in 1957. He earned a B.S. degree in civil engineering from Michigan State University, after which he served as an engineer for the Michigan State Highway Department and held several other engineering positions. Al earned a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the University of Michigan and has practiced law for over forty years. For twenty one years Al was with the Legal Department of one of the nations largest utility companies, retiring as Senior Attorney and head of the contract section. Al also operated a farm, served as a school board president, and taught business law. He has written the thoughts, Ramblings and Observations newspaper column for over 19 years. Al and his wife, Arlona, have three adult children and live on a farm near Springport, Michigan. (For more details, see "Who Am I?" posted February 2012)
